About AILET 2025
The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 will be conducted by the National Law University (NLU) Delhi on December 8, 2024, in offline mode (pen-and-paper) for admission to BA LLB, LLM, and PhD programs. The application process started on August 1, 2024, and the last date to apply is November 18, 2024. The admit card will be available from November 28, 2024.
The exam for the undergraduate (BA LLB) program will include 150 multiple-choice questions spread across three sections:
- English Language: 50 questions
- Current Affairs & General Knowledge: 30 questions
- Logical Reasoning: 70 questions
For the postgraduate (LLM) exam, candidates will need to answer 100 multiple-choice questions covering various areas of law. The syllabus has been revised to make it more student-friendly, and the descriptive section has been removed for LLM.
The AILET 2025 exam is held for admission into 110 seats for the BA LLB program and 70 seats for the LLM program at NLU Delhi. The selection process includes multiple rounds of counseling based on the merit list released after the exam. If two or more candidates score the same marks, the merit will be determined based on higher marks in the Logical Reasoning section, followed by age preference, and ultimately by a draw of lots if needed.
